Havering tests fall detectors

Tests are being conducted using three different alarms manufactured by companies specialising in fall detection equipment. Residents who have a history of falls or are prone to falling have been approached to take part in the trials. We look forward to seeing the results of these trials. Read more.

Scotland to establish Centre for Telehealth

The Scottish Executive has announced that they are to follow the recommendations of the Kerr Report (Building a Health Service Fit for the Future) and implement a national system of electronic health records, together with telecare throughout the country. This includes establishing a Scottish Centre for Telehealth. Read here.
